2D-3C PIV in the wake of an axial automotive fan

Spanning over an area of 400x400 mm, 2D-3C measurements were taken in the wake of an axial automotive fan to validate CFD Results.

Together with our friends from Optolution we did a measurement campaign for AVL Schrick GmbH in Remscheid. Measurements took place at their own facility. Spanning over an area of 400x400 mm, 2D-3C measurements were taken in the wake of an axial automotive fan to validate CFD Results. Preliminary results could be offered within the first day. Due to this, a customer friendly adaptation of the measurement matrix was possible.
